What are you thankful for?

“I am thankful for my existing family members, good health and a new home. I am also aware of how many things I have in my life.”

“I know it is not [common], but my grandmother makes red chili as a gravy, which has been my family tradition.”

What is your least favorite part of Thanksgiving?

“For some odd reason, I am always full before we begin our Thanksgiving dinner, so I cannot fully indulge [the dishes] until the next day.”

What will you do this Thanksgiving break?

“I will finally catch up on my much needed sleep and grade many narrative essays. Then, I can start decorating for Christmas.”

Why is Thanksgiving important to you?

“Thanksgiving is a time to stop and reflect, because we move so quickly through the year. It is the time to think about the things you take for granted.”

What is your least favorite part of Thanksgiving?

“In my Thanksgiving parties, my mom makes [a lot] of food. But because I have a big family, everyone eats everything, so I am sad that there is no food left.”

What will you do this Thanksgiving break?

“It has become a tradition to visit my family in northern California for the week; we spend quality time together, like going shopping. We also drive around the [area], because the weather is really nice.”

Why is Thanksgiving important to you?

“Thanksgiving is the time where my family is the happiest. We enjoy each other’s company and we are all happier. Thanksgiving really brings out the best in us.”
