Associated Student Body (ASB) coordinated the first Club Food Day of the school year during lunch on Friday, Nov. 9.

Clubs fundraised by selling a variety of food, such as Chick-fil-a nuggets, Jamba Juice and Costco pizza.

According to ASB advisor Patricia Branconier-Habash, her students encountered obstacles in preparing for this year’s Club Food Day.

“One difficulty [ASB]  had was making sure the club presidents were in the shade,” Habash said. “We did not push the tables far enough, which left some sellers in the sun.”

In addition, Campus Light co-president junior Sul-Won Yoo says that the profits will benefit her club greatly.

“We were able to sell out in a matter of minutes,” Yoo said. “Our profits are vital, because they help fund charitable projects such as [this] December’s Operation Christmas Child.”

Although senior Steven Anaya did not purchase any food, he still remained impressed by the options.

“I am very pleased with the variety of food that was sold,” Anaya said. “Even though I forgot my money, I am determined to buy chicken bake next time.”

ASB’s next event is the teacher’s Most Inspirational Luncheon on Nov. 16.
