Winter Sports Rally Excites Students

Associated Student Body (ASB) celebrated the conclusion of the winter sports with its annual Winter Sports Rally on Friday, Dec. 18.

ASB hosted the rally in the amphitheater to commend and acknowledge the teams’ accomplishments during their seasons.

According to ASB advisor Patricia Branconier-Habash, one goal of the rally is to promote inclusivity.

“The rally recognizes the athletes and captains,” Branconier-Habash said. “We try to include all the grades by playing games and encouraging people to support their fellow Wildcats.”

Personally, emcee junior David Barrios believes that various factors made the rally a positive experience.

“The rally was [exciting] because it was my first time being the emcee,” Barrios said. “It was [both] nerve-racking and insanely fun getting to feel the energy of the student body. We also had a new DJ.”

Additionally, sophomore Jaiden Lee enjoyed the performances and music provided at the rally.

“One of the best parts of the rally was the sports’ dances. The new songs were much more relevant, and the dances were really creative,” Lee said.

ASB’s next event will be Sadies on Feb. 2.
